Hello and welcome to Red's Bookish Boones! My name is Savannah Boone, but you can call me Red! I am the sole blogger/reviewer here.

Books are something I have enjoyed since I was young. I love how they can transport you to a whole other world without having to leave your bed. For an introvert, that is a lifesaver as books provide an escape for me.

It wasn't until recently that I decided to create a review blog about books. "Why?" you may ask. Well, I am ingrained with a sense of creativity that I haven't been able to satisfy since I was in high school. I've attempted to write my own novels, tried poetry, and even short stories. But I still have a long way to go until I'm able to push out a book with my desired level of complexity and world-building.

 

So, I figured I'd give book reviews a go because I'm able to express my thoughts on a book and analyze the characters, plot, writing, etc. Which is something I've enjoyed doing since college. 

 

The Bookie Bits is all about providing a digestible review of the book, characters, and plot. I know sometimes I struggle to find the words to describe how I feel about a book or characters, and I turn to reviews to help me express those emotions. I'm hoping my reviews can provide the same aid to others on their book journey.

My main tastes in books are high fantasy, fantasy romance, and new adult fantasy.

Every now and then I may have a review that is outside of these genres, such as The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling. But for the most part, this is what I will focus on. If you're not big into these genres, I understand. We all have our own likes and dislikes!
